One of the girls is an awesome sleeper--goes down by 7:00pm and sleeps silently through the night 'til 6:30am--the other one, on the other hand, hates going to sleep and we're constantly afraid that she will wake her sister when placed in the adjoining crib. She also wakes up crying at least once every night, sometimes waking up her sister in the process.

We moved from Queens to Washington Heights to be close to the major bicycle path, which goes most of the way around Manhattan. From our place all the way down to the tip of the island, it's almost entirely isolated from the street.

One of the basic ideas is that the boys will go to preschool in a bicycle trailer, and then I'll continue on to work. We're spending about two hours a night putting them back in their beds, telling them to get back in their beds, dumping them unceremoniously back in their beds, standing sentry so they don't get out of their beds... My wife and I have both gotten to the point where we've spanked them--and we aren't a spanking family.
